The ICCC Children’s Ministry Learning Journey:

Kids Time on Sunday mornings @ 9.30

This curriculum consists of Bible stories, Bible memory verses, crafts and games. Each Bible story is tied to a theme from a Jewish celebration signifying a blessing from God in the Old Testament. This helps the children to understand the metaphorical connection between Old Testament themes and principles from the new testament. All the games the children play are designed to help the children to store the word of God in their hearts. This becomes very empowering to the children because the children walk away from each Sunday School lesson with a heart imprinted with the word of God, which they can remember any time through the week. Each Kids Time craft allows the children to express creatively the lessons that they learn each Sunday. This is a very relaxing and enjoyable activity for the children. Three different Kids Time classes are offered for the different age groups---3 yrs –K, 1st-4th grade and 5th-6th grade.

Kidz Zone on Sunday mornings @ 10:30

Kidz Zone offers a fun, high energy, multi media curriculum using five adorable puppets, (whom the children in our church have named Betsey, Cody, Sydney, Mickey and Chester) music, drama, crafts and games. This is for children between 3 years through 4th grade. 5th and 6th graders are also welcome. Each Sunday a new theme or Biblical principle is presented. (Eg. Serve, Salvation, Confidence etc.) Each lesson is presented through several segments such as Bible verse zone, Bible book Zone, Teaching, zone, Singing zone, Puppet zone, Drama zone and Game zone etc. Within the zone format we also have children’s church complete with offering, worship and communion. The learning process. we use is interactive by encouraging the children to participate in all the activities.. Empirical studies have shown that this method is very conducive to learning. Since the format is multi--media it suits a variety of learning styles as children use all of their senses to participate in the learning journey.
