The
best way to experience Iowa City Church of Christ is to visit us on
Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Our wish for you when visiting, is that
you would feel welcome and at home the moment you walk in the door.
Whether you are seeking a safe, friendly place for your children or
even a hot cup of coffee for yourself, we want you to be able to find
that place. As soon as you walk in the door, someone will greet you and
help you find what you’re looking for. If you are seeking a relaxed and
casual atmosphere to meet God and others in, this is the place. We are
more concerned about meeting your real life needs than if what you are
wearing is appropriate for our service. So come comfortable!

Two Things You Should Know Before You Attend Our Worship Service
First
of all, every Sunday we take up a collection of money by passing around
offering plates. As our guest you are not expected to give. You may if
you would like, but you do not have to. We take an offering every week
because the members support the ministry of this church by giving a
percentage of their income. This is one of the ways in which we strive
to accomplish our purpose.
Secondly,
you will notice that we take Communion every Sunday during our worship
service. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ you are invited to
participate with us. If you are not sure what to do, it is fine to
simply pass the trays and observe what is happening. We take Communion
each week because it represents our commitment to Jesus and what He has
done for us.
Hopefully, this helps you better understand what happens during our Sunday morning worship venues.
